The Warrington Flying Club is one of the oldest continuously operating Flying Clubs in the country. Founded in 1941, we currently operate from Doylestown Airport (DYL), in Bucks County, PA. The Club currently has members that span a wide range of pilot skills from low-time VFR-only to high-time instrument and commercial rated.

We own two aircraft. One is a 2006 Skyhawk SP with Glass and the other is a 2005 Skylane T with Glass. Both are maintained to support IFR flight. The Skyhawk has 53 gallon fuel tanks, but that limits it useful load with full fuel. The Skylane has 87 gallon fuel tanks for longer range flight with greater load capability.  The Skyhawk will give 115 knot speed at 2350 RPM and the Skylane will give 140 knots at 7000 ft. More information is available on our AIRCRAFT page.

A five hour check out for pilots who do not have glass cockpit experience will be required for insurance purposes. The Club instructors are donating their time to do this glass cockpit instruction for members. In summary, we offer higher quality equipment, and more flexible alternatives to FBO aircraft rental.

At our Club meetings, held on the third Monday of every month, we enjoy the camaraderie of fellow members and engage in a healthy dose of hangar talk. Several members use the Club aircraft to volunteer in the Angel Flight program.  From time to time memberships become available as members leave the Club for various reasons. Refer to the CONTACT US page if you have questions about membership or any other subject.
